Kiddush Committee (Rosalyn Snitow, 575-1791) Arranges for sponsors for our every-other-week kiddush.
Bikur Cholim Committee (Carla Rand, 263-1337; Joseph Fischer, 896-3896; Sheldon Borgen, 268-6107) Cares for people who are sick or alone by calling, visiting, driving to doctors, and/or shopping for an individual or family in need. Hospitality: Meals Committee (Carol Borgen, 268-6107; Tami Braun, 268-4065; Herb Schonhaut, 793-8847) Arranges for invitations for Shabbat meals for those who would otherwise be alone. Hospitality: Housing Committee (Shirley Rendel, 544-6555) Arranges for housing for visitors who come to the neighborhood for a simcha or to be with someone who is ill (at home or in the hospital). Shiva Minyan Committee (Siggy Liker, 459-1468) - Coordinates volunteers to help make a minyan at a shiva house. As soon as the Gabbai call comes in volunteers call the chairperson to tell which minyan they can help with. There is also a list of volunteers who can always be called upon when the need arises Babies Committee (Faige Trapunsky, 459-4812) - Helps parents of new babies with meal preparation and/or taking assisting with the older siblings Escorting Committee (Rona Rubin) (temporary) - Arranges for someone to escort people to and from events if they can't come alone Youth Committee (Annette Browdy, 793-1689) - Coordinates preteens and teens to visit individuals in need at home or in nursing homes, especially around the holidays Greeting Committee (Miriam Blustein, ) - Greets new faces in shul and seeks out new families in the neighborhood encouraging them to attend our shul and join our QJC family.
